If you haven't heard or read about the drama unfolding in Clark County, Nevada for the past week or so, you are probably getting your news from the unreliable Presstitutes in the Propagandist Media.
Apparently the Bureau of Land Management decided after 130 years of cattle grazing in the desert of Nevada, suddenly the desert tortoise was at risk and therefore rancher Cliven Bundy's herd must be downsized out of existence (as were the 56 other ranches before him). Hundreds of federal officers were dispatched with all manner of modern warfare paraphernalia to cleanse the land of the pesky bovine. Some took to calling them Cattle Team 6. (ht Mark Steyn)
Now my readers are way too smart for this and you all know that neither tortoise nor cattle are the real story here. Here are the main points to be made about this event:
- The anti-federalists fears of a standing army are being shown to be quite prescient as our government has militarized every department within this leviathan we call the federal government. And...boys with toys eventually want to play with them. Jus' sayin'.
- The only Constitutionally accepted federal ownership of land within the Several States is for the Seat of Government (no more than ten miles square) and that required and approved by State legislatures for Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful buildings. (Nothing here about tortoises or even national monuments such as the Grand Canyon)
- The 2nd amendment alone stands between you, your children and an all-powerful vindictive federal government that is willing to kill you to get their way, steal your land, trample your rights and use your property for their benefit through crony capitalism and corruption.
- If and when enough Americans come together to deny the federal government control beyond their enumerated powers; We the People will be successful. YOU decide what kind of country your progeny will inherit from YOU.
Let me make something perfectly clear: Does Cliven Bundy have legal standing? NO. Does that make it right? NO. As I have told you many times before; legal does not make it right. The Supreme Court of the United States of America once said that it was Constitutionally legal to own Black People in our society. (Dred Scott decision March 6, 1857) Did that make it right or Constitutional? Of course not. But Keith, we are a nation of laws! Yes we are; however, we are also a constitutional republic and we have the right to install new representatives of the People to overturn such idiocy. Let me be very clear here...the Constitution of the State of Nevada is in and of itself; unconstitutional, i.e. Ordnance, Third and Article I, Section 2. No single state can rewrite the Constitution for it's citizens anymore than it can for the other States. What arrogance, Keith! You're crazy! Am I? Suppose a State wanted to repeal the First and Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution for it's citizens? Would it have the right to do so? Of course not. Well, if they can't repeal one part, then they can't another. I don't care how many politicians are coerced into specious wording of a State Constitution or how many idiots voted for it. The U.S. Constitution is legem terrae!
Nutshell: When you vote for anyone who will help pass an unconstitutional law, i.e. ANY modern Democrat and most establishment Republicans; YOU vote to have guns pointed at YOUR head to steal YOUR property. Regardless of intentions, this is always the end result of granting too much power to central government. This is the entire crux of the Founders argument for limited government. They are, and always have been, completely right.
May God Bless each and every one of those brave American citizens who rode out to give the last full measure if need be, to protect the God-given rights of every citizen of these United States of America. You didn't just witness history; YOU MADE IT!
